The Anatomy Lesson - Anatomy review website published by a former Georgetown University anatomy professor.

Arthroscopy.com - This is a great resource for orthopedic and arthroscopic procedures.  The website contains an easy to navigate list of surgical anatomy, procedures, and surgical interventions with step-by-step explanations and excellent images.

Atlas of Pelvic Surgery - Free online atlas of surgical procedures and anatomy related to the pelvis and pelvic structures.

Basic Surgical Techniques - Step-by-step instructions for setting up the operating room. Consists of 21 pages with photos for surgical technologists.

Global Library of Women's Medicine - List gynecological surgical procedures.

University of Kansas Medical Center: HistoWeb - Great histology resource with photos taken from tissue slides and samples.

Human Biodyssey - Cool portal with anatomy and physiology tutorials.

University of Michigan: Medical Gross Anatomy Cadaver Lab - Gross anatomy review with dissection videos from Michigan's cadaver lab. A truly impressive resource.

University of Michigan: Medical Gross Anatomy Surface Anatomy - A great resource of indexed surface anatomy with interactive images and more.

Vesalius Surgical Education - Superb resource and database for surgical education.

The Visible Human - The Visible Human Project has generated over 18000 digitized sections of the human body. This introduction and tour uses images and animals from the project to teach key concepts in human anatomy.

Wake Forest University Atlas of Surgery - Online textbook of surgical procedures and techniques.

Anesthesia Gas Machine 2009 - A complete reference for all of the parts of an anesthesia machine.

LSU Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Links - List of tons of references related to surgery and orthpedics.

Medical Student - Very expansive list of links to resources for medical students and other students of medical profession programs. Included are links to case studies and other information that will help with report writing.

Medline Plus Health Information - A healthcare database from the US Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.  This resource contains a drug database, medical encyclopedia, medical dictionary, news, and more.

Miller-Motte Technical College Library - List of helpful links broken into categories for easy use by surgical technology students.

National Library of Medicine MeSH Links - Very long and comprehensive list of links related to healthcare and operative procedures. Designed for healthcare professionals. Click the link for "Surgical Procedures, Operative" to enter a vast portal of surgical information and links.

Surgical Assistant Resource - Designed for surgical first assistants but contains a wealth of information and links that may be useful to ST students. The Resources tab on the home page leads to a database of information with links, documents, videos, pictures, and more. Also contains information on how to advance your career in the operating room.
