Ms. Junge found a great website that contains educational games.  Some of the games would be great to study general sciences, anatomy, physiology, medical terms, etc.

SJVC Performs Mock Surgery in the Mall

In commemoration of National Surgical Technologist Week, the San Joaquin Valley College Fresno campus surgical technology program sponsored a mock surgery demonstration at Center Court in the Sierra Vista Mall. The purpose of the event was to raise public awareness about the profession of surgical technology. Students and instructors performed a simulated open appendectomy which allowed mall visitors as well as the student’s family, and friends to experience what actually happens behind the mysterious double doors of the operating room. The students enjoyed the opportunity to show off their newly acquired skills and share their enthusiasm for their new career path.

KSEE 24 SJVC Surg Tech to see the San Joaquin Valley College, Fresno Surgical Technology Program featured on KSEE 24's local morning show, Central Valley Today.  The interview was filmed live during Surgical Technologist Week, September 2010, and features Mr. Doug Hughes and senior student, Samantha Des Jardins.
